LocalBozo.com has sent one of our correspondents out for some field research, as our own Link Cromwell attempts to bar crawl his way through Hoboken, New Jersey- just a stone’s throw away from Manhattan. Check back for his adventures and travels every single Friday as LocalBozo.com attempts to do the unimaginable. And yes, it involves drinking.

If you have ever taken in the rich Hudson River skyline facing Hoboken, one grand building is sure to catch your eye. It’s the, “W” one of the countries finest hotels. This much talked about, upscale establishment has been a major factor in the movement to transform Hoboken into a destination just like that of New York City. And one particular club located with the walls of the, “W” has been doing this successfully for over three years. It’s, “The Chandelier Room” a lounge like you have never seen before, and that’s exactly why we chose it for this weeks,’Spirits in the Sixth Borough.’

You won’t find, The Chandelier Room on the ground floor of the hotel, by the entrance. And, that is truly where the essence of this place begins. Gather your friends, and lovers to travel up the back staircase to reach this exclusive venue. Once you ascend the stairs you will enter into a space that exudes a modern cool with tip of the hat to the past. Large sculptures of chandelier’s personify the clubs namesake and also provide room for extra seating within said sculpture. Fireplaces have been placed on the wings of the room providing a cozy place to sip cocktails with your crew. If that isn’t enough a temperature controlled patio with outstanding views of the harbor give guests yet another exclusive spot to party. The layout features plenty of painstakingly laid out seating designed to create a flow perfect for both small private parties, and those looking to dance. Speaking of dancing, top DJs hit the club every Thursday, Friday and Saturday to spin only the best joints to keep you moving.

Take a seat at the bar for another experience all together. The long hand crafted dark wooden bar is trimmed with leather, and is able to seat a large number of guests. The stunning views continue since bar guests face out to the harbor with the help of humungous windows. But, hey your not here for a lesson in architecture. The upscale club features some of the most inventive, and reasonably priced Mixology based cocktails this side of the Hudson. Head over to the bar for aptly named,’Lackawanna 1907′ ($13). The drink features; Absolut Vodka, basil, strawberry puree and agave nectar. If vodka isn’t your bag then order a, ‘Berry Melon Mojito’ ($12) which includes; Cruzan strawberry rum, mint, fresh strawberries and watermelon puree. Either way, you’ll have a pretty cocktail in toe while you hit the dance floor of a club unlike any place you could visit in NYC. There’s a simple reason for this, you’re in Hoboken and times have certainly changed for the better.
