The AT&T MLS All-Star Hub at 82 Mercer Street

Tonight the stars of soccer’s biggest club, Manchester United, make their way to Harrison, New Jersey for Major League Soccer’s All-Star Game at the Red Bull Arena against the best players in the MLS. You can catch the game live tonight on ESPN at 8:30, (it’s just a short Path train ride out there) but for bigger fans of the sport, the MLS has something more interactive in celebration of the annual exhibition.

82 Mercer Street, a two floor, 50,000 square foot event and conference space has been transformed into the official AT&T MLS All-Star Hub, giving fans a way to interact with the game like never before. With the game itself tonight, the hub is shutting down after today- but there’s still time to make your way downtown and experience it for yourself. Outfitted with a small scale soccer field and goals, the Hub encourages two on two play, as others surround the “field” cheering on their comrades. A mammoth foosball table, fit for 5 on 5 action sits in the center of the room, bringing about friendly yet incredibly vocal competition between the quick-wristed teams.

An All-Star Hub would be incomplete without two things: official retail merchandise and a ton of flat screen televisions showing all the action. And 82 Mercer Street has both- don a jersey t-shirt of your favorite MLS star to wear as you sit on plush bean bag chairs, watching highlights from games of MLS’ past. The Hub is also proud to hand out free Gatorade, Pepsi, and (you guessed it) Red Bull products, as their house DJ works the mix near a bar area in the back of the room. Aside from the ability to have your picture taken on the red carpet in front of the Red Bulls signature logo, the best part is that the Hub is 100% free, and open to the public.

The AT&T MLS All-Star Hub is open from 9am to 5pm today and is a fun, free place for MLS fans to get together to celebrate the All-Star game’s arrival locally. And if you close the place out, head over to an area bar and catch the MLS All Stars taking on Man U live, at 8:30 tonight. Or you can check back here tomorrow morning as LocalBozo.com brings you our exclusive coverage from the MLS All-Star Game itself.
