Saturday, June 29th – The second annual Harlem Arts Festival kicks off it’s sophomore year promoting the Harlem Renaissance with gallery walks, artist talks, an interactive kids corner and live performances. Friday, June 28th – Sunday, June 30th – The always up hill climbing, New York Mets may have a bit of luck this weekend as they take on the Washington Nationals in a best of three series at Citi Field. (New York Mets)

Music & Entertainment

Friday, June 28th – Movie release day. Quiet night tonight? Check out the films opening this weekend. It’s a double dose of action at the movies this weekend! Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock partner together as two over the top crime fighters in, “The Heat” (R). With director, Paul Feig at the helm we are hoping for some of the same gold he brought us in, “Bridesmaids.” Action gets Presidential when Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx save Washington, DC in, “White House Down” (PG-13). It’s summer, chill out at the movies!

Saturday, June 29th- World famous soul man, Bruno Mars will be taking over Brooklyn this Saturday! The, “Just The Way You Are” hit maker will be playing a gigantic performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Tickets are most likely completely sold out, but you can always try the friendly scalpers along Flatbush Avenue. Fitz and the Tantrums are the opening act. (Bruno Mars Tickets)

Saturday, June 29th – The Last weekend in June is on fire as ,”Summer Saturdays at The Cellar Bar” welcomes Adult Film Star Tera Patrick. Drink up and dream of this adult star while you get down to music by Francis Mercier alongside Twisted Dex & Kaz. (Bryant Park Cellar Bar)

Saturday, June 29th – The Village Voice’s third annual 4Knots Music Festival takes over South Street Seaport with a killer 10-band line-up.
