Music & Entertainment

Friday, November 30th – Movie release day. Quiet night tonight? Check out these two extremely violent flicks coming out today! Brad Pitt returns to the silver screen in a major way playing enforcer Jackie Cogan in, “Killing Them Softly” (R). Early buzz is hot for this crime picture which is said to be a return to grittier mob features from the past. It also doesn’t hurt that the flick contains marquee mob character actors like Ray Liotta and Tony Soprano himself! The griminess continues with, “The Collection” (R) the sequel to 2009′s, “The Collector.” It’s a torture-porn flick with something actually going for it. And not just a tired SAW retread.

Friday, November 30th – Sludge metal legends, High On Five are primed to take over the Bowery Ballroom stage this evening. What a better way to kick off the Holiday Season then will some pulse pounding heavy metal. High On Five will be joined by Goatwhore filling the opening slot. (Bowery Ballroom)
