Saturday, August 11th – Do you actually know what the Lower East Side is all about? Didn’t think so. Hop on the Downtown NYC Art & Culture Tour to visit some of the most exciting new art galleries in the neighborhood and learn about their current exhibits. The tour will also point out important downtown cultural locations along the way including artist studios, graffiti hot-spots, DIY music venues and legendary party spots. (Downtown Art Tour)

Friday, August 10th – Sunday, August 12th – The weather man calls for a very wet weekend. But hey, you’re a diehard fan so make your way to Citi Field all weekend to see the Mets take on the Atlanta Braves in a best of three series. Tonight’s pitching match up pits Harvey against Maholm. Music & Entertainment

Friday, August 10th – Movie release day. Quiet night tonight? Check out these two flicks coming out today. Comedy and Action will duke it out all weekend for box office supremacy. First off, head to the polls to cast your vote for, “The Campaign” (R). Funny men Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis turn elections on it’s face with this biting satire of our current political system. Do you like it when things explode? Well, make your way to the cinema to check out, “The Bourne Legacy” (PG-13). Jeremy Renner stars as, Aaron Cross the newest hero being chased for the better part of two hours. These are two solid choices for your movie going dollar!

Friday, August 10th – Grab your blankets and umbrellas to, “go the distance” at An Evening with Cake. The alternative darlings will hit the newly opened Williamsburg Park stage this evening to bring their unique brand of rock to the packed outdoor space. Nightlife

Friday, August 10th – Tonight be sure to remember the names, Ian and Pascal. You’ll need them to gain access to one of the most bad ass parties in town. It’s, “UNDRGRND” at the Hotel Chantelle basement. All night the DJ’s will be playing the rare cuts you like when you’re smashed. (UNDRGRND)

Saturday, August 11th – If you loved his outlandish film, “Trapped In The Closet” or are a sucker for smooth R&B then you know Mr. R. Kelly. This Saturday, Kelly will be at Barnes & Noble – Tribeca, signing copies of his highly anticipated memoir, “Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me.” (R.Kelly)

Sunday, August 12th – Event innovators, “iAdventure.com” are back to help line your stomach with food truck bites and delicious brews! It’s, “International Food Truck & Beer Festival” going down at South Street Seaport this Sunday. Local Seaport restaurants and the city’s best food trucks will each represent different countries, featuring different international bites and brews from their designated regions.
