Friday, July 20th – Saturday, July 21st – NYU’s Nora’s Playhouse is know city-wide for it’s heavy focus on woman’s issues. Make your way to the theater this weekend for the final performances of, “The Fallen”, a play which gives breath to the haunting stories of the Bosnian War. Spanning twenty years, Yasmine Beverly Rana’s moving play reveals the lingering repercussions of the conflict while ricocheting from the rooftops of Sarajevo to the balconies of Turin to the art galleries of London. Sports

Friday, July 20th – Sunday, July 22nd – It’s a huge three game series over at Citi Field this weekend, as the New York Mets take on the LA Dodgers. Tonight’s pitching match up pits New York’s Santana against Harang of the Dodgers. The LocalBozo crew will be at the stadium on Sunday, so Tweet us out and grab a beer! (New York Mets)

Friday, July 20th – Movie release day. Quiet night tonight? Check out these two flicks coming out today. You’ve been craving it for years but today, “The Dark Knight Rises.” Make sure to order tickets in advance of be prepared to wait on lines or be shut out. Witness the return of Batman from the brink to take on new villains, Bane and Catwoman in Director, Christopher Nolan’s epic conclusion to this groundbreaking trilogy. It’s shouldn’t be surprise that no other major studio release dare compete this weekend. But, if you want to see, “The Queen of Versailles” be my guest.

Saturday, July 21th – Did you know Converse is more than just a shoe company? The creators of, “Chuck Taylor’s” are now in the concert business. On Saturday night you can catch Brooklyn’s own,”Sleigh Bells” at Hudson River Park’s Pier 63 for a free concert! Check out this link for ticket information. (Bowery Presents) 

Nightlife

Friday, July 20th – Shave a goatee or simply glue one on. Either way, you need to head to Tammany Hall tonight for the 2012, “Evil Twin Party.” Dance the night away, as your dark self to the DJ styling’s of MESSKID. Don’t worry if things get a little out of hand, it’s not you doing it anyway, right?  (Tammany Hall)

Saturday, July 21st – Even though your friends at LocalBozo couldn’t attend this year, “The 7th Annual Great Hot Dog Cookout” is a seriously outstanding event with all net proceeds going to the Food Bank For New York City. Twenty-four teams of amateur chefs will be competing this year and first ever Pro-Row mini competition sponsored by The Brooklyn Kitchen. Applegate Farms is back, donating a supply of their humanely raised, 100% organic grass-fed and finished beef dogs for competition use by the amateur chefs. (Great Hot Dog Cookout)
