Friday, May 4th – You may make it up to Citi Field this evening, but be forewarned the weather is not on your side. If your New York Mets get a chance to play, they will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The pitching match-up finds Gee pitting against Miley. (New York Mets) 

Music & Entertainment

Friday, May 4th – Movie release day. Quiet night tonight? Check out these releases coming out today. You’ve read our glowing review, now it’s time for you to race out to the theater to witness, “The Avengers” (PG-13). Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson join forces to save the Earth from certain doom! Be prepared to wait in long line for tickets because this movie is a monster! As if you would even care, Dame Judi Dench and Tom Wilkinson star in, “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” (PG-13). And for some reason it is being released this weekend.

Friday, May 4th -  Jump on the L for a night of some serious indie rock in Williamsburg. The much-buzzed about, ‘We Were Promised Jetpacks’ have transcended even the very high expectations created by their beloved debut and incessant touring. It should be no surprise that this show is long sold out. So be prepared to walk down North Sixth Street with one finger in the air.  (Music Hall of Williamsburg)

Saturday, May 5th – If it’s, Cinco De Mayo that means it’s time to rage all night long. The newly launched ultra lounge, ‘The Scarlet’ is here to satisfy all your ass shaking needs. The stylish, and decadent club features every modern excess local fist pumpers crave. Starting at 11pm,  DJ JACOMINO will be spinning pulse pounding tracks until the sun comes up. (The Scarlet)

Saturday, May 5th – The fight marches on to end ALS  (Lou Gehrig’s disease) for good. Join hundreds of your fellow New Yorkers at Hudson River Park’s Pier 46 in Manhattan for a day full of exercise and goodwill towards those stricken with this horrible disease. (ALS Walk)

Saturday, May 5th -  If your in the mood to celebrate the race with a little style, head over to Williamsburg’s Brooklyn Winery. The much talked about winery is hosting a serious celebration for the Kentucky Derby.
