If you’re a regular reader of LocalBozo.com, we’ve taken you to four different free and festive holiday sights to see throughout Manhattan. From the fantastic gingerbread display at Le Parker Meridian to the Christmas tree at Rock Center, to the elaborate windows at Lord & Taylor, to the holiday train show at the New York Transit Museum’s Gallery Annex, each stop has its own special meaning around Christmas time. But as we get close and closer to the big day, you have just a few short hours remaining to take a walk around in admiration at another festive tradition, the Grand Central Holiday Fair at Vanderbilt Hall.

Vanderbilt Hall is a 12,000 square foot space that is constantly changing its face. Formerly a waiting room, the site now holds events from product launches- Lacoste setup shop there earlier in the fall- to other elaborate functions, and as such, the Hall is an ideal place to stop by when commuting via the trains at Grand Central or for walking around if you happen to be on the east side of midtown.

Beginning in mid-November and running through Christmas Eve, the space has been transformed into an array of shopping, with large displays set up with sets of aisles to pass through. The collection of boutiques here seeks to serve shoppers of all ages. Women will take the time to peruse the jewelry at shops kike Karen Curtis, Sade Design, and Innasense or the handbags sold at Corrente and Via Zapata!, while men’s options are a tad limited with Jon Wye, Margo Petitti, and Josh Bach Ltd. Regardless, there’s enough of a selection to fill the last minute shopping needs for anyone on your list. Pick up some art from The Tolman Collection of Tokyo, ornaments from The Glass Haus, some winter wear from Emma Company or JAK Designs, stationary from Le Bazaar, bath gear from The Soap & Paper Factory, or some children’s items from LittleMissMatched or the New York Transit Museum.

And best of all, if you can’t find something in Vanderbilt Hall’s small shopping center, there are a ton of other options available in and around Grand Central Terminal to satisfy your shopping cravings. It may be the last stop on LocalBozo.com’s Five Days of Christmas, but that won’t stop us from bringing you the very best sights to see and places to hit in and around New York City. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our readers, and in the words of Ms. Veronica Corningstone “Thanks for stopping by.”

The Grand Central Holiday Fair hours are: Monday – Saturday 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
