Jane what a lovely write up. As a singer myself I appreciate the quality of their individual voices as well as the beauty of how they mix. Unlike some artists who are lost outside of a studio without auto tune or even good artists but who after a song or two you get tired of the same voice, DR has the advantage of 4 true lead vocalists as well as a very wide range of style and sound in each set!
Delta Rae actually has deep roots in NY NY. Some time back I (uncle not dad) introduced them to a friend who came to a show I set up for them in Richmond at the Music Hall of Capital Ale House. He told a friend in NY NY to go see them at Rockwood which they did and loved them. In fact they even donated a chunk to their Kickstarter campaign and got an producer credit on Carry The Fire.
later through back channel connections Delta Rae was invited to give an impromptu audition with Seymour Stein that they caught a big break as Seymour got them to come on board at Warner Chappell.
If you go back to the NY Times February 9 sunday paper you can read about Ian’s wedding to Rebecca in Miami Feb 8.
I hope you will continue to follow these young people. I love them all and have known the three blondes all their lives.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing these guys 4 times now and twice I was front center… Let me tell you, Thursday June 12th was the best. The Harvester Music Hall in Rocky Mount VA. is not much as far as size, but the sound quality is superb. The stage there is 1 foot -ONE FOOT! off the ground and I was 2 feet from the band on the front row…It was all I could do NOT to jump on stage.—(Brittney DID give me a high five from the stage during the finale.)———I am SO glad everyone is getting to hear this amazing band.-Their level of energy, their INCREDIBLE voices. their collective songwriting, their professionalism and dedication to making the world of popular music BETTER, instead of JUST making money is evident and undeniable. They are a lock for “best new artist” when the rest of the world and The Grammys wake up to this versatile, explosive and magnificent band.- GO SEE THEM NOW.
